Secure ISS Joins Anthropic’s Cyber Verification Program
We’re proud to share that Secure ISS has joined Anthropic’s Cyber Verification Program, giving our team an opportunity to explore how advanced AI can support legitimate defensive cybersecurity work.
Anthropic is the AI safety and research company behind Claude. Its Cyber Verification Program supports approved cybersecurity professionals whose legitimate work may overlap with safeguards applied to high-risk, dual-use activity on selected Claude models.
As a 100% Australian-owned cybersecurity provider, we'll approach the program with the local expertise, professional accountability and responsible practices our customers expect.
What this brings
Our analysts investigate alerts, assess vulnerabilities, connect activity across systems and decide what needs attention first. We joined the program to understand where Claude can help us work through complex security information and focus on the findings that matter.
We’ve followed Anthropic’s work in cybersecurity for some time. In Anthropic Built an AI “Superhacker”: Only Fifty Companies Hold the Keys, we explored the growing cyber capabilities of frontier AI and the responsibility that comes with access to them.
We continued that conversation in The Cost of Borrowed Security: Why Mythos and GPT-5.6 Mark the End of Open Frontier AI, where we looked at the importance of having people and response capability you can rely on as technology, access and threats change.
Someone still needs to decide what matters most and take action. That is where our people and operational capability work together.
Joining the Cyber Verification Program gives us a practical way to assess where Claude can support legitimate defensive work, understand its limitations and determine how these capabilities can be used responsibly.

What this means for you
This initiative supports our broader exploration of how advanced AI can strengthen the way our security teams investigate, analyse and respond to threats. We’re interested in where these capabilities can help our analysts work more effectively and, ultimately, deliver better security outcomes for our customers.
We'll evaluate how Claude can support our team across:
security research
defensive testing
investigation
analysis and prioritisation
These applications could support faster investigations, clearer prioritisation and more actionable guidance for our customers.
Our security professionals will remain responsible for validating findings, understanding each customer’s environment and determining the appropriate response. They remain accountable for the guidance and action delivered through our sovereign, Australian-operated 24/7 Security Operations Centre.
Looking forward
We’re excited to put these capabilities through their paces, learn what they can contribute and find new ways to strengthen the defence of Australian organisations.
