No more backup

We have ceased supporting our Secure-ISS Explorer product!

Support for the service ended at the end of February 2012. Here you will find a few answers to some of the more common questions we have received.


Why did we decide to cease supporting Secure-ISS Explorer?
This isn’t a decision we have come to lightly! Our business has been growing in a number of areas outside of our backup operations for sometime and as a result we are now completely moving out of the backup business to peg our future on evolving technologies in the Cloud and hosting spaces.


What can we continue to offer you?
As you may be aware our product offering has expanded in recent years to include Hosted/ Offsite email collaboration solutions, Software application hosting and Virtual Private Servers. We have had a number of our backup clients move into these products over the last 18 months and they have been very pleased with the solutions, outcomes and overall service. Please check out the remainder of our website to see how we can continue to assist businesses including yours!


What should Secure-ISS Explorer customers be doing?
You will need to source a new offsite and/ or onsite backup solution offering. What you decide upon will need to suit your business and there are many alternatives available on the web. In the ideal world you would have both an onsite backup system along with an offsite copy of your data. The onsite copy of data supports a speedier recovery time, whereas the offsite copy provides piece of mind in the event complete disaster were to strike your business.

You will also need to uninstall our software. This can be done by following these simple steps. To uninstall our software, please go to the Start Menu, Programs, Secure Internet Storage Solutions and select the Uninstall option. Windows will do the rest for you.


Do you have anyone that you can now recommend for Offsite Backup?

We have completed due diligence on another supplier and are pretty comfortable that they will continue to look after our customer base with a good backup solution and ongoing support. Your data will remain in Australia and you will continue to be supported out of Australia.

We have negotiated with this supplier, to keep the existing plan structures for our customers and have negotiated down the setup fee to $25 (Ex GST). (They normally have a setup fee of $110).
From a transition stand-point they will contact you to discuss the transition to their software and complete the installation and setup remotely with you. This should ensure that the transition is as seamless as possible for you and your team.

If you would like us to pass through your details to them and their details through to you, please let us know ASAP. We are assisting with the transition, which is why we will initially handle the introductions.
